Single tied bellows is a single bellow but with an addition of tie rods. The tie rods are normally attached to the end pipes or flanges with lugs that carry pressure thrust of the system. This thus eliminated the need of main anchors. By adding tie rods, the bellows cannot expand, hence axial growth is lost. Only lateral and angular movement can be absorbed with the tied expansion joint. The addition of tie rods does not eliminate the need for a well-planned guide system for the adjacent piping. Available accessories are liners and covers. Features: · Simplest, most economical design · Main and directional anchors not required Types of Movement: · Only lateral and angular movement
